Who are you?
We are a group of likeminded folks who love Shabbat, but hate sitting still.
(We've also been known to have a hard time getting out of bed on Saturday mornings...)
Mincha is perfect -- it is ecstatic, it is communal, it is a gift, and it is in the afternoon.
What are we doing?
Praying with our bodies. Engaging our whole selves. Meeting amazing people.
Hanging out with friends. Hearing great music. Moving our souls.
What is Mincha?
Mincha is the afternoon Jewish prayer service.
It means present or gift and is derived from the gift offering
that was made by the ancient Israelites who served in the Temple.
Is Ecstatic Mincha welcoming to those who are shomer Shabbat?
Ecstatic Mincha welcomes everyone.
There will be music.
Please email email@example.com to inquire whether this month's music will use electronic amplification or not.
Do you have to be Jewish to attend?
Everyone is welcome.
Who chooses the music?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to sing, DJ, or if your band is interested in playing.
(By DJ we mean everything from selecting a playlist on your phone to two turntables and a microphone.)
Can I bring someone?
But our dance spaces often limit the number of people based on studio capacity.
Therefore we kindly ask that you email email@example.com to RSVP.
When do you meet & how much does it cost?
We meet about once a month.
Stay tuned for upcoming dances or email jessica at ecstaticmincha dot com for more info.
